Two questions

Let me ask you all, collectively, two simple questions...

The first: Say you wanted to make an appointment with a dentist. A doctor. A hair dresser. Your tax attorney. Your psychologist or masseuse or accountant- any service provider you can think of. You call them- they don't answer the phone. What do you do next?

Would you leave a message, and - if it was particularly urgent- perhaps wait an hour or two and then call them back, or maybe send a text?

Would you call them over and over again for the next 40 minutes-an hour until they finally answered or their phone died?

If you're a logical or courteous person, you're probably saying to yourself: "Oh, I would never do the second thing. If they didn't answer, they are obviously busy or perhaps in a place where they are unable to speak on the phone at the moment. Call-bombing someone like that is not just rude, but it leaves a bad impression on the person I'm trying to reach." And you would be right about all of that.

Second question: If it's not OK or polite to do that to a doctor/dentist/hairdresser/whatever, what in God's name makes it alright to do it to a professional Dominatrix? I am also a service provider. I am also a professional. Look, I LOVE nice things. But more than anything, I want you guys to understand how serious I am when I put out those charity calls on my blog and twitter. There is something really heartbreaking happening in Somalia. In the period of 90 days leading up to August 4th of this year, 29,000 (not a typo: TWENTY NINE THOUSAND) children under the age of 5 died in a devastating famine sweeping the Horn of Africa, brought about by the worst drought in 60 years. There is no rain expected until October at the earliest, and millions are at risk of death from starvation. Rather than spend a single cent on a gift for me, why not donate whatever amount you were going to use to an organization that can use the money to help these people?

Don't brush it off by chalking it up to overpopulation: Oklahoma has a greater population density per square km (http://www.mercatornet.com/demography/view/9593/). Don't say "oh, this happens all the time over there.": There hasn't been a comparable event for over thirty years, making famine of this magnitude as forwent an occurrence as a major war in Europe (http://www.sabotagetimes.com/life/somalia-famine-whatever-happened-to-making-poverty-history/ ). Don't mention pirates, the BlackHawk incident in Mogadishu, the theft from donation money- that's fallacious, and as logically sound as saying you wouldn't donate to Haiti or Japan relief funds because of the action of a few Haitian or Japanese individuals who engaged in criminal or immoral activities.

There ARE organizations where the money is untouched by warlords. Doctors Without Borders is one of them, and I would be SUCH a happy girl if you guys would support their relief efforts.

A triumphant return. Let's start off with a little fluff post so I can ease my way back in.

I've been in extremely high spirits this week, and I'm finding joy in everything. I don't know if it's the impending birthday, but something has changed in me: I'm annoyingly optimistic....one might even say (is this the kiss of death for a dominatrix? Perhaps, but...) "cheery".

So allow me to share with you some of the very simple things that brought me joy this week.

1) Rickshaws @ Gramercy Tavern. Tito's vodka, basil, and lime over crushed ice- it's fucking delicious. I'm a whiskey girl, but this is absolutely the summer cocktail I've been waiting for my whole life.

2) Discovering I could make my own rickshaws by throwing vodka, basil, and limes into a glass bottle of frozen Voss & shaking it really hard. This is a "portable" cocktail ( you can drink it in say, Prospect Park while watching a concert and the police will not hassle you because...well, it looks too classy to inspire suspicions of drinking in public). Also, it costs about two bucks rather than GT's $15.

3) Belstaff leather "Chuck Taylors". Foot fetishists, trampling fans, and BB guys rejoice; these babies put Converse to shame, and they do it in black leather. They'll be here in two weeks or so.

4) Live uni sashimi at Blue Ribbon Sushi. Ever wonder how fresh your sushi is? You won't have to if it's still moving while you're eating it. It's not actually alive....but it's been kept alive until the moment they slice it into sashimi for you, and a fluke in the nervous system allows it to keep moving for a few minutes after its been served. Apparently, this is taken to a whole different level in Japan, where Ikizukuri (translated "prepared alive") is done with fish, lobster, octopus, etc.....A bit more controversial, because in most cases those animals actually ARE still alive.

5) Angel. 'Nuff said. In the words of Yeezy and HOV: "That's my bitch. Shorty right there? That's my bitch." Also, I think the constant replays of Ready to Die and The Black Album are sort of rubbing off on her a little bit....I did recently receive a text message from Ang that said "Yo what up?" (other slaves take note: you will NOT get away with this, so don't try speaking to me in that manner or I'll suture your mouth closed....with a Naga viper chile inside of it).

6) Watch The Throne. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't give a shit how much of a douche Kanye is or how much of a sellout people call Jay-Z; I love them both, and together, they are just as great as I thought they would be.

7) Davines Yogurt Shampoo and Conditioner. Davines everything, actually....My hair is past my tailbone now, and I really needed to find something that was incredibly moisturizing, not chock full of chemicals, and more convenient than soap-washing. Davines is all that- and it smells like a meadow in Italy or morning dew or fresh cut grass or something.

8) Malin & Goetz musk perfume. This is going to become one of my signature scents in addition to the Kiehl's musk. I know musk is old fashioned, but there's something about musks that I find incredibly appealing (when done well, anyway).

9) Morimoto's fire alarm going off in the middle of an extremely elegant dinner. It was not me, I swear.

10) Ballbusting in James Perse cashmere, Prada slipdresses, and Balenciaga pants. I kind of get a secret kick out of wearing my vanilla clothes mixed with fetish....like JP cashmere sweater over AP lingerie with no bottoms, just stockings and thigh high leather boots. Prada slipdress with fishnets and rubber stiletto boots. ETC. It's fun, for me....but then again, I'm the kind of person who gets a thrill out of wearing sneakers to The Four Seasons' pool room and getting away with it; taking the piss out of fancy things has always amused me.

11) National Grid shut off my gas (without even telling me first!) because they have to do a meter upgrade....which can only be done during the day on days when (OF COURSE) I am not actually home, apparently. I was getting on a roll with my cooking....which is quite good actually (Angel will attest to this). However, the inconvenience inspired me to go back to a raw diet temporarily, and I've had boundless energy as a result. I forgot how good this feels. On raw, I sleep less, wake up earlier, feel more slim, have better skin, and just generally feel happier and stronger. Since I've had so much culinary success with cooked food, I've been experimenting with different raw meals, as opposed to the spinach and kale in a blender that I used to do. Anthony Anderson's blog (http://rawmodelcom.blogspot.com/) has been incredibly helpful, and is a wealth of information for those who are looking to delve into raw. Zucchini pasta!!!!! Zucchini pasta with raw sauce made from basil, tomatoes, evoo, and a tiny dash of pepper and himalayan salt.....so good. (Thank you MD for the recipe!)

12) Laphroig 10 year. Laphroig Quarter Cask. Laphroig Cask Strength. No more to say on that one.

13) Coming to the realization that I am the architect of my own destiny, and it's up to me to build a life that I am proud of. More on this later....I promise it won't be too "crunchy".

I am not sure how to exactly describe this, but there is a hugely contradictory dichotomy that exists within my personality; my traits are so completely antithetical that to some outside observers, I probably seem to be comprised of polar opposites. Which, I should say, is not entirely untrue.

It's not a matter of mood swings or switching back and forth between these two personalities, one hard-edged and icy and the other warm, soft, and loving. They coexist, ebbing and advancing in this constantly shifting balance. I like to hurt people- it makes my heart flutter and my lips curl into a smile to hear someone cry or beg when they're suffering at my hand.... BUT- I weep sometimes when I pass homeless people on the street, and my chest actually physically hurts when I see someone who's been wrongfully injured. A lot of you won't like to hear this because it destroys your Ice Queen fantasy, but I cry A LOT, actually, and almost 99.9% of the time it's because I'm empathizing with the sorrow and pain of others. I am a deeply emotional person, and it's often the meek, the dark horses, the underdogs, the victims, and the weak who are able to draw out my strongest feelings: first, an unfathomable wave of sympathy, followed by a fierce desire to "make things right", even if it has nothing to do with me. I am a hopeless idealist. I am an activist, a do-gooder, a good Samaritan, and (dare I say) I even fancy myself as a bit of a somewhat mediocre Superhero. I also beat people up, punch them, hit them with objects until their flesh gives way to blood, torture them with inventive methods of abuse, burn them, piss on them, treat them like dogs, entrap them with lust, tease them into a state of misery, exploit their deepest desires in order to subjugate them, and abjectly humiliate them. What does that say about me? Honestly, I'm not quite sure, and to summarize, I'm going to have to use one of my most-hated phrases of all time: It is what it is.

Now, to go a little bit more into detail about what you mentioned: You're right- I actually did feel sorrow over the death of OBL. Not over his actual death- but over the way we, as a society, could find the end of anyone's life as a cause for celebration. Didn't we all shake our heads and feel our stomachs turn when other people celebrated the 9/11 attacks and cheered and jeered in the streets? When we do what we did, and react with joy to the execution of a human being (no matter how despicable), doesn't it make us not only hypocrites, but supporters of the stereotypes propounded by those whose nations are already rife with anti-American sentiment?

I'm not going to get too deeply political here, because I'm so NOT political. At all. Honestly, I don't even vote. The point I'm trying to make is this: I get sad when I see human beings forgetting (or trying to forget) how to be human. Sometimes, we lose sight of what's important...

Would totally work with it. For me, inflicting pain is not so much about the extreme as it is about the nature of the sacrifice. Indeed, I am very compassionate and caring- I've been called a bleeding heart by some people, and this attitude has been pervasive throughout my life. I consider myself a philanthropist and activist, and I would give the shirt off my back to help someone who was truly in need. Not to get too crunchy, but I love humanity in general (and of course all animals, especially marine). However, my inherent goodness is irrevocably intertwined with an extremely dark, incredibly sadistic element that is just as strong in my actions and desires. A person's enjoyment of the pain I inflict doesn't make it hurt them any less. I know a lot of people imagine masochists cooing and sighing with every crack of the whip, but it hurts them just as much as it hurts someone who doesn't like it- they just embrace and enjoy the sensation.

That being said, what I am- a sadist- is defined as someone who "derives pleasure, esp. sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others." Yes. I say fetish counselor because I can not legally say "alternative sex therapist", but that is essentially the function I have performed. I have helped submissives who feel they have emotional or philosophical issues with the demands placed upon them by their Mistresses, helped ameliorate and resolve disputes between Domme and slave, helped un-collared slaves improve their attitudes and refine their skills to make themselves more appealing to potential Owners, etc. To share a specific experience, I recently helped facilitate a reconciliation between a slave and Mistress who had a blowout (during which hurtful things were said by both parties). Because of the nature of D/s relationships, it can often be hard to navigate a compromise- the slave must always give in. always be wrong, always be sorry, right? Well, I was able to step in and act as a messenger between both, explaining each side's concerns from an objective standpoint. Removed from the heat of the confrontation, they were able to compromise in a way that upheld the standards they set for the relationship while making changes that improved their dynamic in multiple ways.

I've been noticing a disgusting surge in conceit in the slaves I have been encountering lately. Hubris, egotism, and self importance- these are traits that have no place in the makeup of a good and desirable slave. On previous occasions, when talking about my preferences in the personalities of those I collar, I have made the analogy of preferring to break a wild stallion over a limping, gimpy ass- obviously, the strong, magnificent stallion is a more desirable quarry than the donkey who has already acquiesced to defeat before I've even raised the whip. But- there IS a difference between confidence and hauteur. And when a healthy dose of self-esteem is inflated by pride to the point that it becomes cockiness, it is likely that the Dominas around you will find it distasteful, even repulsive (as I do). Tread carefully, boys- no woman wants to own a worm, but a narcissistic slave is just as undesirable.

I'm ready for you. A Very Special Day

Yes, that's right: It's my birthday. :)

I will be taking off on my actual birthday, but those of you who would like to celebrate with me can do so on Thursday, September 2nd, which is the day before. So… if you would like to bring gifts, cake, pamper me, treat me, make me smile, laugh, or offer yourself up to me for whatever purpose I wish (heavy corporal, anyone?), that would be the day to do so.

I have my hands full: fundraising for the gulf, dealing with Angel's antics, completely re-vamping my website, and finishing the final details of a huge project I am working on (which will be revealed in the coming days). Since it's still a little too early to reveal my big news, instead, I wanted to share a wonderful letter I received recently from b.

It's been a busy month for me. I have four major pieces of news, but for now, I'd like to share just one. As you know, I am very interested (and possibly fanatically so) in fitness. Mistress Ariana, Angel, and I attended the Lady Gaga concert at MSG this week, and in truly dramatic fashion, decided to make an entrance....

I got to wear Mistress Ariana's chain mail gown (complete with a train), my leather thigh high stiletto boots, and not much else (though I did add a Gaga-esque wig to complete the ensemble). Ariana and Angel looked equally stunning; It was a blast to walk through the MSG lobby while clamoring fans asked us to pose for photos. Two days ago, I had the pleasure of doing a wonderful piercing scene with Mistress Sade and Mistress Widow. I have been a very lucky girl this month when it comes to finding new shoes for spring. First, I was able to locate a pair of absolutely gorgeous Prada shoes from a previous season. I had originally owned these about two years ago, but I lost them on a vacation! My heart was broken....but I was fortunate enough to find them for sale by a woman who had purchased them in a size that was too large for her. She was cleaning out her closets, and fate stepped in.

As you know, I love being a long distance trainer. I feel it allows me to be unencumbered by many of the boundaries I experienced during real time play, and I adore the depth of the relationships I've developed through long distance means. That being said: Since re-entering Professional Domination (even in a form that is so far removed from in-person training), I have felt an unexpected hunger growing inside me. I have made the decision to take a hiatus from my vanilla career and return to real-time training. With the arrival of the holiday season, I was thinking of a way that I could give all of you a little gift....and after some thought, I decided that the best gift I could give would be one that benefits all of my fellow Women: a little guide about how to give better oral sex, and a brief anatomy lesson. When you first begin, it's likely better to not head straight for the clitoris. Without proper foreplay, the clitoris can be way too sensitive- it's always best to begin with light, stimulating caresses AROUND the clit, but not directly to it. You can use your mouth on her inner labia, or the clitoral hood. When you feel she is growing more aroused, you can begin to apply your mouth directly to her clitoris.

You can start with gentle kisses, just as you would kiss her breasts or lips. When you can feel her clitoris hardening beneath your lips (yes, the clitoris has erectile tissue!), begin to use soft, rhythmic stokes of the tongue...circling her clit, or dragging across it. You should be able to tell by the her movements, breathing, and the sounds she is making (if she makes noise- some Women do not) if she is enjoying what you are doing. Some women may enjoy the dual sensation of penetration and oral stimulation.....you can try using a finger on her G-spot, and see how she reacts. Be careful not to use too much pressure...it can be an unwelcome distraction from the already-intense feelings created by your mouth.

As she starts to grow closer to climax, you can begin to slightly increase your tongue's pressure and movement. Try to maintain something of a steady rhythm, gradually building to a crescendo. Beware of using TOO much pressure- the clitoris is very sensitive, and forceful strokes can quickly become annoying. Most importantly, take your time- it's not a race. Pay attention to the feedback she is giving you, and adjust your technique accordingly...with oral sex, there is no one size fits all approach, but these general guidelines should help you to refine your technique and gain a better understanding of how to please a Woman.

What is the biggest mistake a submissive man makes when first approaching a dominant woman?
Cockiness and creepiness are my two largest turnoffs when meeting a new submissive. If you are cocky, I will assume you are simply a wanker looking to fulfill some fantasy, rather then a truly submissive man. If you are creepy, slithering, slimy, continuously gawking at my body, continuously mentioning how sexually attracted you are to me, I will assume that you are more interested in having your way with me then letting me have my way with you, and I will completely dismiss you. Respect and humility go a long way during your first approach.

When you read an email from a new submissive what do you look for?
A clear statement of intent, an acceptable level of respect, but also: intelligence and attention to detail. A sloppy e-mail is usually indicative of how that submissive will treat the rest of the work he is assigned to do. Misspelled words, missing punctuation, and run-on sentences are a huge red flag to me. I only make an exception for submissives for whom English is a second language- in that case, I am of course understanding of certain grammatical mistakes.

Rules for my personal stable and my long distance slaves are rather different. Slaves in my personal stable: wear uniforms while serving me, keep me informed of their whereabouts at all times, remain in chastity, and (of course) observe the basic gestures of respect such as sitting on the floor, avoiding eye contact, addressing me properly in Public. They are in charge of all of my "stressful" and "tedious" activities: laundry, housecleaning, cooking, dishwashing, etc. Sometimes they serve as furniture or horses when I don't feel like walking from room to room. They are expected to be a subservient in public as they are in private, with a few exceptions. They treat me as if I am their God, mother, and ruler all rolled into one, and obey my word as law. Life is hard for a slave who belongs to me- but it is also extremely rewarding when they are allowed to bask in the glow of my affection.

What is your favorite activity?
I adore many different activities: over the knee spanking, various methods of corporal play, electro play, cuckolding, body punching & kicking, predicament bondage, and inventive tortures of my own design ;)

Do you feminize your servants?
Sometimes, but not always.

Did you find him to be more submissive when he was dressed up?
Some slaves are, and some aren't.

It does, and I do.

I consider my slaves and subs to be like girl scouts: they have to earn their rank through trials and badges. Ha!

Certainly!

What advice would you give a woman who husbands has just asked her to dominate him

The transformation is not as hard as you think. Embrace the feelings that are in you naturally: every time you have ever wanted to be treated like a princess, every time you thought you deserved to cum and he didn't, every time you ever thought of not having to be bothered by housework: these are all facets of dominance. Read up on play and discipline, learn how to do it safely and effectively, and then jump in head first and never look back!

How do you discipline?
I like to find out what activities a slave truly despises- those will be the disciplinary measures I will use to punish him for truly serious infractions. Corporal to tears and the withdrawal of certain privileges are also effective tools.

Do you use chastity?
Yes.

Do you control his orgasms?
Yes.

Do use strap ons?
Not usually. I find that most males derive a secret pleasure from this activity due to the stimulation of the prostate, which seemingly overpowers the more terrifying aspects of the activity.

What do the next five years hold for you?
Lots of travel, lots of training, new thresholds to cross, building deeper and more meaningful relationships with my current slaves, and meeting lots of new submissives for long distance training.

I didn't have any, really. My only fear was that I didn't think there were enough submissive men out there, and that I would have a hard time finding them- that fear was quickly assuaged!

Any words of encouragement you may have for that new Domme out there?
Don't change yourself to be more like what you may think the "ideal Domme" is- you are more powerful if you embrace your qualities, rather then trying to incorporate "traditional" qualities into your personality. For instance, I am highly feminine- but I don't try to yell and scream & stomp around in combat boots. That may work for some, but for me, I find I feel best in stilettos and a sexy cocktail dress, armed with a whisper and a grin. Be yourself, because whoever that is IS the ideal Domme!
